 Microblading

Microblading - the tiny hair strokes follow the directional growth of the natural eyebrow hair, creating a semi-permanent tattoo that looks realistic.  The manual tool helps to create a soft effect.  The tool is not an actual blade, it is a tiny stack of micro-needles that form a blade-like edge.  After the brows have been mapped, the shape and pigment are chosen. The blade tip is then dipped into the pigment and used to make tiny precise incisions that imitate natural eyebrow hairs.

Lasts 2-3 Years depending on lifestyle and skin type. (Best for Regular-Dry Skin types)*Oily Skin can cause blurring of the strokes created with Microblading. *

Powder Brows

Powder Brows -   A single needle is used in a stippling type motion with a Digital Permanent Cosmetics Machine to create a soft shaded look. This procedure is a form of tattooing that is considered to be semi-permanent.  Powder brows can be used to add light shading, add depth or create definition. After the brows have been mapped, the shape and pigment are chosen.

Lasts 2-4 Years depending on lifestyle and skin type. (suitable for Oily, combination, and dry skin tpyes.

Combination Brows

Combination Brows- Combining two different techniques to create the perfect Hybrid Brow. MIcroblading is used primarily in the front of the brow, and Powder shading is used through the body and tail of brow. This technique creates a natural 3D ombre effect on the Brows. This procedure is a form of tattooing that is considered to be semi-permanent. After the brows have been mapped, the shape and pigment are chosen. Lasts 2-4 years depending on lifestyle and skin type.

DO RESULTS VARY?

Overall results are different for each individual. Factors such as sun exposure, skin type, aftercare, lifestyle and skin tone determine how your brows heal.

DO I NEED TO REMOVE MY NATURAL BROW HAIR TO GET THIS DONE?

No, you do not need to remove hair for this procedure. It is actually best to let the eyebrows grow out as much as possible before your appointment. This allows more of the natural hair growth to be seen. This technique looks best when there's natural hair in place. It creates a more realistic look when layered with the texture of your own hair. Even if brows are sparse, a combination of techniques can be used to mimic the texture of natural hairs.

TWO SESSIONS?

*1st Appointment - "FOUNDATION SESSION” - The first portion of this appointment is the brow consultation. To begin, brow styles, preferences, and techniques are discussed. Brow mapping is then used to help design a perfectly structured brow shape. Pigments are then mixed to find the desired brow shade. The first stage of numbing cream is then applied to the skin for 20 mins. After the numbing cream has taken full effect the actual procedure portion of the session begins. During this portion, a second numbing cream is used to ensure the procedure is as pain free as possible. This entire appointment takes approx.  2.5 - 3 hours in total.

*2nd Appointment - “PERFECTING SESSION"- This is the second stage of the process.  It is recommended at least 6 weeks later to touch up any light spots, deepen brow shade if needed, build additional texture, add hair strokes or tweak and perfect the shape. This session usually takes approx 1-1.5 hours.

(This session is recommended but not required)

HEALING PROCESS

• Immediately following your procedure the tattooed area will appear to be darker and bolder in color.  This can last up to a week after the treatment while the initial healing process takes place. The treated area may feel a bit like a sunburn afterward but there should be minimal discomfort/redness.

• During the initial healing period there may be light scabbing or flaking of the skin. If there is some scabbing or flaking, do not pick and allow the scab or dry skin to come off on its own. This is very important! If scabs come off prematurely, the pigment will come out with it! This can lead to more light areas to touch up later and possible scarring.

• The complete healing process takes about 4-6 weeks, at which time the true color of the tattoo is evident. During the healing process. Your brows will go through many phases. Be patient :)

Day 1 - Brows are sore like a sunburn and can be slightly swollen

Day 2-4 - They become darker and more filled-in looking as they form a light scab. This is only temporary- don't panic!

Day 5-12- The scab naturally exfoliates, peels and flakes away over the course of several days. The fresh skin underneath is white and has a waxy coating, making it appear that the brows are too light. Be patient!

Day 10-30 - By day 10-14 all the scabbing should have sloughed off. The scabbing is the skins first layer of protection. Underneath the scabbing, you will see a light silvery or white layer of skin. This is the second layer of protection that can block the view of the pigments that were inserted during the procedure, as this new layer of skin continues to heal and slough off the true color of the pigment can be seen. This can take up to 6 weeks.

This is a two-step process. Brows look really finished after the 2nd appointment

AFTERCARE

PLEASE READ ALL AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PROCESS PAGE TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY TO COMMIT TO THIS BROW JOURNEY, ESPECIALLY THE FIRST 10 DAYS. HOW YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR FRESH BROWS GREATLY AFFECTS THE HEALED OUTCOME

• 6-12 hours following the appointment brows will get a light wash. Using your fingertips GENTLY rub brows with a mild antibacterial soap and water mixture. The goal is just to remove any lymph fluid that has accumulated (may be tacky or hardened). Be sure natural eyebrow hairs are lifted away from the skin while healing.

Keep water exposure under 30 Seconds. Lightly pat dry.

Immediately following the wash, apply a small amount of ointment to the brows. Continue to apply ointment (or any light natural oil daily until brows are fully healed.  If the brows feel tight, dry or itchy, reapply a small amount to brows. It is important to avoid any ointments that contain petroleum ( A& D, Vaseline, Neosporin) These ointments will soften the newly formed layer of protective scabbing and cause blurring of the strokes.

• Be sure to keep your face out of direct shower stream. Carefully wash hair to ensure the face stays as dry as possible.  Keep showers brief as too much steam can harm brows as well.

 • Continue to wash the brows daily, or as needed. Lightly pat dry, and apply healing oil.  Continue this until all scabbing has flaked away.

WHAT NOT TO DO

• DO NOT pick or scratch at the dry skin/flakiness; let the skin fall off naturally.

Picking can cause scarring and premature loss of pigment.

• DO NOT apply make-up to the tattooed area for the first 10 days. Cosmetics of any kind may interfere with the healing and color of your tattoo. After 10 days its fine if you need to gently apply makeup to any light spots.

• DO NOT use Vaseline, Neosporin or other petroleum-based products while healing this can cause the strokes to blur.

• DO NOT bleach, tint or dye the tattooed area for one month following the procedure.

• DO NOT thread, wax or use hair removal products on the treated area while healing.

• NO exercising and/or excessive sweating for 10 days after.  Sweating can cause the hair strokes to blur and detail to be lost.

• NO Sun exposure, swimming pools, Jacuzzi's, saunas or other bodies of water during healing.

• Do not soak your face underwater in a bathtub or allow the shower to spray directly in your face during healing.

 ONCE HEALED

• Exposure to the sun over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment. Once completely healed, I recommend applying a moisturizer with 15spf+ daily on the treated area. Wear large sunglasses and a hat for further protection.

• Glycolic acid, microdermabrasion, and chemical face peel products and laser treatments must be kept away from the tattooed area as continued use could lighten or discolor the pigment.

• If you are having laser resurfacing or laser hair removal after your tattoo has healed, please inform the laser technician. Laser procedures may darken, lighten or discolor the tattooed area.

• Once the treated area is completely healed any changes or additions that need to be made can be done at your follow-up appointment about 6 weeks later.

THIS PROCEDURE IS NOT RIGHT FOR YOU IF YOU:

  • - Are pregnant or nursing

  • - Are allergic to Lidocaine, or any -caine Numbing agents.

  • - Are highly prone to scarring or Keloids

**Attention Please:  I suggest prospective new clients book their first Permenant Make up Appointment at least 3-4 months in advance of Vacations, Weddings, and special occasions. This allows adequate time for healing of both your Initial Microblading Appointment as well as a Perfecting  Appointment 6-8 Weeks after.
